Armistice Day Grants

Amanda is pleased to invite expressions of interest for the 2017 Armistice Centenary Grants Program.

This exciting opportunity for our community will see one-off grants to support local, community-based commemorative projects and activities that commemorate the end of the First World War, remember Australian service men and women from all conflicts and celebrate a just and secure peace.

Amanda would like to hear from eligible organisations with ideas to commemorate or celebrate the end of the First World War in our local community.

Grant funding between $3000 to $50,000 may be available to organisations for eligible projects.

Your project or activity could be as simple as giving an existing memorial a new lease of life, putting on a theatre production about the time, or writing a history for a battle that you believe deserves recognition.

Please read the eligibility guidelines carefully - pdfGuidelines can be found here.

More information can be found here - pdfFrequently Asked Questions.

To have your proposal considered, please complete the project plan and budget and return to Amanda's office by Monday 6th November 2017 in person or via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

The expression of interest form can be found here - pdfExpression of interest form.

The Community Consultant Committee will review all proposals, and develop a short list of applicants to be invited to submit a formal application to the Department of Veterans’ Affairs.

If you have any questions please contact Amanda's office on 8186 2588.

Stronger Communities Programme 2017

Stronger Communities 2017

Expressions of interest are now open for the Stronger Communities Programme. Grants of $2,500 - $20,000 are available for small capital works projects and certain types of equipment which strengthen our community. For example, in the past grants have been given for new community playgrounds, new equipment for surf lifesaving clubs, and refurbished kitchens for community centres.

To be eligible, the project requires matched contributions, in cash or in kind on at least a dollar for dollar basis. If the funding is from an external body (i.e. a local council) a letter from that source endorsing the project must be provided.

Before applying please visit the Stronger Communities Programme website for all the eligibility details.

Expressions of Interest must be submitted by 5pm Friday 17 August 2017. To complete the Expression of Interest form follow this link - pdfExpression of Interest Form
