New Trade Training Centre for Christies Beach!

$1.5m Trade Training Centre to be constructed at Christies Beach High School

Amanda is committed to ensuring that local students in Southern Adelaide can get the skills they need to succeed in tomorrow’s workforce and that local businesses have access to the skilled workforce they will need to stay competitive into the future. That is why Amanda has welcomed the news that the Gillard Labor Government will deliver $1.5m for a Trade Training Centre to be constructed at Christies Beach High School. Christies Beach High School will join 5 other local schools that are already benefiting from this initiative here in the South.

National Broadband Network Coming to a Town Near You!

Construction works are scheduled for the NBN Fibre rollout in Aldinga, Seaford and McLaren Vale this year

With the flick of a switch, the township of Willunga has been launched into the twenty first century. Amanda was pleased to join in the excitement at the official ceremony marking the switching on of National Broadband Network services in Willunga, making modern internet facilities widely available to businesses and residents in the Willunga community.

Amanda has also welcomed the news that the NBN fibre rollout will soon begin in the Aldinga, Seaford and McLaren Vale areas. Construction works are scheduled to commence in March of 2012 in the Aldinga community and in April of 2012 in the Seaford and McLaren Vale areas. Amanda is thrilled that businesses and residents in the Aldinga, Seaford and McLaren Vale communities will be joining those in Willunga in having access to high-speed broadband.

Delivering on Health Care in the South

Six Primary Care Infrastructure Grants and four GP After-hours Grants awarded to local medical practices

Six local medical practices will benefit from Federal Government grants of up to $500, 000 to expand their facilities and increase the services they provide. After-hours support for local GP services will also receive a boost with $100, 000 to be delivered to four local Gp clinics. These investments form part of the Federal Government's wider health reform agenda and will help local practices to continue to provide quality primary care services to the community.
