Amanda has been fighting for the completion of the Coastal Trail to link Adelaide’s southern beaches and allow people to walk and cycle from Hallett Cove all the way to Sellicks Beach.
Southern Adelaide has some of the most beautiful coastline in the world and it should be easily accessible to all.
The coastline at Witton Bluff, between Christies Beach and Port Noarlunga, is a gem of the South and remains one of the only stretches of southern coastline not to be connected by a walking trail.
Connecting these two beaches will bring huge benefit to the local area. Not only will local residents have better access to their coastline, but a coastal trail will attract tourism and unlock great potential for the local economy.
At the last Federal Election, Labor committed funding for the Coastal Trail if elected. Likewise at the most recent State Election, the State Labor Party promised funding to complete the trail at Witton Bluff if re-elected.
It is important the newly elected Liberal Marshall Government understands the importance of this project and commits funding to complete the trail at Witton Bluff.
