SENATE INQUIRY TABLES REPORT INTO USE OF ANTI-MALARIAL DRUGS IN THE ADF - WEDNESDAY, 05 DECEMBER 2018
Labor welcomes the report from the Senate Inquiry into the use of the Quinoline anti-malarial drugs Mefloquine and Tafenoquine in the Australian Defence Force and will consider its recommendations.
Labor recognised that there were a number of complex issues in relation to anti-malarial drugs which is why we sought to address some of these through the process of a Senate Inquiry.

STEVE AUSTIN: Federal Labor has committed to funding a Veterans Recovery Centre in the City of Ipswich, the money was promised by the LNP in the lead up to the last federal election, however, the money never appeared. There are around 16,000 veterans in the region and Amanda Rishworth is the Spokesperson for Veterans’ Affairs, I spoke to her about that commitment earlier on this afternoon.
