Children’s imaginative play and social connections between parents will be nurtured with a $15,000 grant from Labor to Burwood Council’s Mobile Play Van to improve and expand their resources to two permanent sites in Wangal Park and Woodstock Park.

It has now been three months since the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade handed down its report into the ‘Use of the Quinoline anti-malarial drugs Mefloquine and Tafenoquine in the Australian Defence Force’ and the government is still yet to respond.
Labor established this Inquiry after members of the serving and ex-service community continued to raise their concerns around the side effects from some anti-malarial drugs which were taken during their service.

Following reports that the government decided to cancel the Dawn Service, Scott Morrison was forced to intervene to intervene and overrule his own Minister.
Today in Senate Estimates Department officials confirmed they knew very little about the outcomes and consequences of the Liberal Government’s unfair child care system.
Since the Liberal Government’s unfair child care changes took place in July, it appears the department knows much about nothing when it comes to how the government changes have hurt Australian families.
