AMANDA RISHWORTH, SHADOW ASSISTANT MINISTER FOR EDUCATION:[Audio starts]…It is very disappointing that Rose Bay High School wanted to apply for a Trades Training Centre however the Abbott Government has cut $950 million from the Trades Training Centre program which will mean that Rose Bay High School will not be able to get the Trades Training Centre that it needs.
Bob Baldwin has wished the students of Newcastle all the best as the finish line of high school approaches, despite having supported the abolition of the National Job Guide and the $128 million cut to critical youth unemployment prevention programs.
DAVID LIPSON: The Government has halved its draft proposal for job seekers to apply for 40 jobs a month in order to receive the dole. After a widespread backlash the Minister for Employment Eric Abetz says the Government has made some changes in response to the feedback including keeping job searches at 20 jobs per month for most job seekers, and allowing flexibility to tailor requirements to individual circumstances.
