SPEECH - RESPONSE MINISTERIAL STATEMENT: VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES - CANBERRA - WEDNESDAY 24 OCTOBER 2018
I rise today to speak on the annual statement to parliament on veterans and their families. As shadow minister, it's an absolute privilege to spend so much time with veterans right around this country, listening to their stories, but also listening to their concerns. As the minister has done, I want to recognise the sacrifices made by those currently serving, those who have served before and their families that support them. We must ensure that they know we value the sacrifices they made and continue to stand with them and their loved ones.
