PATRICIA KARVELAS: The Federal government has committed to a $500 million upgrade of the Australian War Memorial, we were talking a little earlier to Brendan Nelson about that funding. The Federal Government has also raised the prospect of signing a Covenant with the armed forces aimed at providing better support for those who have left active service.
